What is Organic
Organic refers to the way agricultural products are grown and processed. Organic regulations place strict limits and prohibitions on the use of toxic and persistent pesticides, synthetic fertilisers, sewage sludge and irradiation. Organic farmers rely on natural substances and physical, mechanical, and biologically based farming methods to the fullest extent possible. Organic is more than simply not using chemicals, it is about building healthy soil for the future.

To us, organic farming is synonymous with building healthy soil. Healthy soil contains natural microbial life in the soil is unequaled at providing the optimum nutrition to plants. With time we came to realise the importance of saving earth, saving natural resources and healing our environment. Conserving soil and it's natural minerals was our key focus for growing plants in our farm which is situated in Citrus Valley, Hoshiarpur.
What is conventional farming?
Today, half the worlds food production what we eat depends on chemical fertilizers and herbicides. These are the foundation of Conventional Agriculture, but they pollute our soils, drinking water, waterways, and oceans. Common ingredients used in this type of farming are pesticides, synthetic fertilisers, sewage sludge, genetically modified organisms, and ionising radiation.
The process we use
When growing for our family, we have always tried to make choices that keep our family well-nourished but also kept in mind that our conscious choices kept our planet safe. With this thought we explored the unconventional way of doing farming.
What is unconventional farming?
A common motif within unconventional agriculture is working with nature. It is beyond organic. Unconventional agriculture is a philosophy that addresses the complexities of sustainable farming and reflects on the local history and resources of the land. It benefits from innovative research, mathematics, and thinking in abundance.

Oyster mushroom is the rich source of protein, vitamins, minerals, fibre and other antioxidants like selenium protect body cells from damage that might lead to chronic diseases and help to strengthen the immune system. Some of best dishes which we have enjoyed so far have been Oyster Mushroom Pasta, Oyster Mushroom and Broccoli Pizza, Mushroom Pickle, Mushroom Soup, Mushroom bread. It is packed with delicious mushroom flavour and meaty in texture.
Mustard Green (Sarson Ka Saag) is a winter vegetable and a popularly prepared 'Punjabi delicacy'. Our Mustard Greens leaves are more leafier, slightly softer in texture and less bitter than regular saag. Sarson ka saag is a hearty dish having lots of phenols and flavonoids. It is loaded with dietary fibre, protein, vitamin K, manganese, calcium, vitamin B6, vitamin C and many more nutrients. Being Organic it is completely safe to eat, chemical free and blessing for health if combined with Bathua.
Bathua also known as pigweed, is a very nutritious winter vegetable that has multiple health benefits. Appears to be similar to that of spinach and may be cooked in a similar manner. Whole Bathua leaves may be steamed and combined in dough, blended in curries etc. Bathua is a powerhouse of vitamins A, C and B along with being rich in essential minerals and antioxidants. It is a good source of amino acids, iron, potassium, phosphorus and calcium, making it very healthy to consume. This is a best superfood in winter and works best as a body warmer in Winter.
